Every day, tons of eatable food is thrown away at Edeka supermarkets because the date has expired.
To decrease food waste and reach people in the younger segment we post food products that will expire within 24h on Snapchat at a steep discount. When the snap disappear after 24h, so will the product.
This will not only bring digital natives to Edeka but also create a significant PR boost that strengthen the Edeka brand.
Note: The title is a combination of “Snapchat” and “Schnäppchen” (which means “bargain” in German).
